Blue Hen Refreshments is a family owned and operated snack and beverage vending business started in
2003 by Peggy Gregg and her husband Drew.

"We noticed that companies with fifty or fewer full-time employees tended to have difficulty finding reliable refresh-
ment vending services locally.  The equipment that's designed for a large number of people often takes up too
much valuable space in smaller businesses and contains more product than can be consumed by smaller groups before
it's expired."  Peggy said in a recent interview.  "When we did our research for potential business opportunities, we
spoke with owners and managers of smaller businesses and found that many of them were being under - served
with snacks, beverages and office coffee.  Often, they could not get service at all because the vending operator could
not justify equipment expenditure for a location with only 15 or 20 full time employees.  We also heard of
situations where operators provided very limited services like the almost universally disliked "Honor
Box" System.  We both thought that there had to be a better way."

Peggy and Drew found several newer concepts in vending equipment and found that they were designed for the
emerging smaller companies.  In recent years, the trend in the work place has been smaller offices and industrial loca-
tions doing more specialized work than in decades past.  "Now we have compact, simple and efficient machines, some
that are even Smart Card capable allowing cashless vending like the new Multi-Max".

Drew summed up Blue Hen Refreshments basic philosophy this way..."Peggy and I, both came from customer oriented service businesses in our working careers.  We knew that observing and listening to our customers -- working with them
to solve problems and offer workable solutions in the benchmark of great businesses.  Long term profits can only be had when you help others solve problems."  "We're in the business of making people happier and more comfortable
